Transcript
Maya Welcome back to Crosstab Live. The biggest development since our last update is new attention on the Kansas Senate race, which we have not covered on air today.
Daniel That is right, Maya. In the Kansas Senate race between Democrat Hamilton and Republican Marshall, the latest tally across eleven polls shows Democrat Hamilton 0.4 points ahead of Republican Marshall.
Maya Eleven polls in that race now, Daniel. Has the picture on that margin sharpened at all?
Daniel The margin stands at 0.4 points between Democrat Hamilton and Republican Marshall. That is the full extent of what the current data tells us right now.
Maya Let's widen out to the national picture. Where does President Trump stand with voters?
Daniel Trump's approval sits at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead Republicans 51 percent to 42 percent.
Maya And what does all of that mean for Senate control heading into November?
Daniel There is currently a 68 percent chance of Democratic Senate control and a 32 percent chance of Republican control. The most likely outcome right now is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya Before we wrap, let's put Kansas back on the board one more time for viewers just joining us.
Daniel Kansas remains a race to watch, one of several competitive contests across the country, with Democrat Hamilton and Republican Marshall separated by 0.4 points across eleven polls.
Maya That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
