Crosstab Live Midday: Steady Numbers, One Race at Zero
Transcript
Maya Good afternoon, and welcome to Crosstab Live Midday, Daniel.
Daniel Good to be here, Maya. Not a lot of fireworks since our last update, but the wall still has plenty worth looking at.
Maya Let's start with the national snapshot. What's the headline on Senate control right now, Daniel?
Daniel Democrats sit at a 67 percent chance of winning control, Republicans at 33 percent. The most likely outcome is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya No movement at all since the last update?
Daniel None. No lead changes, no new polls on the board, nothing has moved since our last check-in.
Maya What about the national mood, approval and the generic ballot?
Daniel Trump's approval is 38.4 percent, disapproval 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats are at 50.9 percent, Republicans at 42.1 percent.
Maya Those numbers have held steady for us, Daniel.
Daniel They have. Nothing new there either. Let's go to the map for a race worth checking in on.
Maya Take us there.
Daniel Nevada's governor race. Ford and Lombardo, 13 polls in, and the margin sits at zero. No leader to call right now.
Maya Thirteen polls, and nobody's ahead. That's a race we're watching, Daniel.
Daniel It is. No new polling in today, so we'll keep tracking it. Maya, with 27 days left, what's your read on a race sitting right at zero?
Maya I'd call it a genuine toss-up, one to watch every time we update.
Maya That's Crosstab Live Midday. Join us again at 4 p.m. Eastern.
