Crosstab Live Tonight: Michigan Tightens, Iowa and Vermont Move
Transcript
Maya Good evening, this is Crosstab Live Tonight. Since our last update, a new Michigan Senate poll just dropped, Daniel - let's get right to it.
Daniel Quantus Insights has El-Sayed at 48 percent, Rogers at 47 percent in Michigan - a one-point race, Maya.
Maya A one-point poll, but how does that stack up against the broader average, Daniel?
Daniel Our crosstab average still has El-Sayed up 3.1 points there - so this new poll lines up with where things already stood.
Maya Let's move to Iowa, Daniel - two new numbers just came in there today.
Daniel Suffolk University has Turek at 48 percent, Hinson at 44 percent - a four-point lead. Our average now has Turek up 2.5 points, up from 1.7 before.
Maya And the Governor's race there, Daniel - any movement?
Daniel Same poll: Sand at 55 percent, Lahn at 43 percent, a twelve-point margin. The average moved to Sand plus 9.3 points, up eight tenths of a point.
Maya One more for you, Daniel - Vermont's Governor race.
Daniel State Navigate has Scott at 46 percent, Janoo at 43 percent there, Scott up three points. Our average now sits at Scott plus 2 points, up from under a point before. What do you make of a Republican governor only up 2 points in Vermont, Maya?
Maya It's a race we're watching, Daniel - not a blowout for either side there. Let's check the national numbers now.
Daniel Nationally, Democrats have a 68 percent chance of winning Senate control, Republicans 32 percent, with 52 Democratic seats the most likely outcome. Trump's approval sits at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead 50.9 to 42.1.
Maya Before we go, Daniel - what's the race to watch tonight?
Daniel Nevada's Governor race, Ford versus Lombardo. Thirteen polls in, and neither candidate holds a clear lead yet.
Maya That's Crosstab Live Tonight. Join us again at 8 a.m. Eastern tomorrow.
