New Hampshire Moves, Nevada Still Open
Transcript
Maya Good evening, I'm Maya Chen, alongside Daniel Reyes. We've got new numbers out of New Hampshire since our last update.
Daniel We do, Maya. Saint Anselm College just dropped a Senate poll: Pappas 51, Sununu 44. That's a 7 point lead for Pappas.
Maya How does that line up with where the race has been sitting, Daniel?
Daniel Right in the neighborhood. The crosstab average now has Pappas up 6.2 points. One poll doesn't move that much on its own.
Maya Saint Anselm also polled the Governor's race. What did they find there?
Daniel Ayotte 52, Warmington 45. That's Ayotte by 7 points in the same survey.
Maya And the average for that race, Daniel? Has it moved at all?
Daniel It has, a little. Ayotte's margin eased from 10.5 points down to 9.3. Still a comfortable lead, just a touch narrower.
Maya Let's zoom out. Where does that leave the national picture for Senate control?
Daniel Democrats sit at a 68 percent chance of winning control, Republicans at 32. Most likely outcome right now is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya That's a real number to sit with, Daniel. What about approval and the generic ballot?
Daniel Trump sits at 38.4 percent approve, 60.1 disapprove. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead 50.8 to 42.1.
Maya Before we go, you flagged Nevada's Governor race for us. What's happening there?
Daniel Ford and Lombardo, 13 polls in so far, and none of them has produced a clear leader. We don't have a margin to give you yet.
Maya We'll keep watching that one closely, Daniel. Thanks for walking us through all of it tonight.
Maya That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
