A Quiet Night on the Numbers

Transcript
Maya Welcome back to Crosstab Live. The headline since the last live update is that there isn't one — the national picture has held steady, and we want to walk you through exactly where things stand.
Daniel That's right, Maya. Trump's approval sits at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats are at 50.8 percent, Republicans at 42.1 percent. All of that is unchanged from where we last showed it.
Maya So with thirty days until the election, what does that mean for Senate control?
Daniel Democrats have a 68 percent chance of winning control, Republicans a 32 percent chance. The most likely outcome right now is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya Let's look at the map itself — any movement in individual states?
Daniel None to report. Every state is sitting exactly where it was at our last update. No new polling came in to shake any of these races loose.
Maya There is one contest we haven't walked through yet today — Kansas.
Daniel Right, this is a race we're watching. Democrat Hamilton holds a 0.4 point edge over Republican Marshall, built off eleven polls. That's within 1 point, and it's one of the more competitive contests on the board — though not necessarily the only one that's close.
Maya Any fresh polling there since our last check-in?
Daniel Not today. Kansas simply hasn't had new numbers drop since we last covered it, but given that 0.4 point margin, it's a race worth keeping on your radar.
Maya So the big story tonight is stability — national numbers holding, the map unchanged, and Kansas still sitting right on a knife's edge.
Maya That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
