Ohio Flips Democratic in New Poll

Maya We're breaking in with a new poll out of Ohio. The New York Times and Siena University now have Democrat Acton ahead by 4 points in the Governor's race. Daniel, walk us through it.
Daniel Maya, this is Acton 49 percent, Ramaswamy 45 percent. That's a 4 point edge for Acton in this single poll from The New York Times and Siena University, dated October 1st.
Maya And how does that fit with the broader picture in Ohio?
Daniel The crosstab average now has Acton up 4.2 points. So this new poll lines up closely with where the race already stood.
Maya We also have new numbers out of Alaska's Governor race tonight.
Daniel The New York Times and Siena University show Kreiss-Tomkins at 52 percent, Wilson at 48 percent, a 4 point lead. The crosstab average now sits at 10.1 points for Kreiss-Tomkins, down from 14.8 points. That's a 4.7 point shift toward Wilson since the last live update.
Maya Let's go to Maine, where there's new Senate polling too.
Daniel The Maine People's Resource Center has Jackson at 49 percent, Collins at 47 percent, a 2 point edge for Jackson. The crosstab average there is just 0.7 points, so this one is within 1 point.
Maya Zooming out, Daniel, what's happening nationally?
Daniel Trump's approval is at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead 50.8 percent to 42.1 percent, with that overall Democratic edge now at 8.7 points, down slightly from 9 points since the last live update.
Maya And where does that leave the fight for the Senate?
Daniel Democrats have a 68 percent chance of winning control, Republicans 32 percent. The most likely outcome right now is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya Before we go, a race we're watching that hasn't gotten attention today: Kansas Senate.
Daniel Democrat Hamilton and Republican Marshall are separated by just 0.4 points across 11 polls. Neither candidate holds a clear lead there right now.
