Georgia Tightens Up the Data Wall

Transcript
Maya We're breaking in with new numbers out of Georgia. A new Wedgewood Polls survey has Democrat Ossoff up ten points over Republican Collins. Daniel, walk us through it.
Daniel Maya, Wedgewood Polls has Ossoff at fifty five percent, Collins at forty five percent. That's a ten point margin for Ossoff in this single poll, taken October third.
Maya So how does that single poll fit with the broader picture in that race?
Daniel The crosstab average now has Ossoff ahead by eight point seven points. This new poll is a bit above that average, but it's moving in the same direction, Democrat Ossoff out front.
Maya Let's zoom out to the national picture since the last live update.
Daniel President Trump's approval sits at thirty eight point four percent, disapproval at sixty point one percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead fifty one percent to forty two percent for Republicans.
Maya And what does that mean for Senate control right now?
Daniel Democrats have a sixty eight percent chance of winning control, Republicans a thirty two percent chance. The most likely outcome on the board right now is fifty two Democratic seats.
Maya Take us around the map, Daniel. Anything beyond Georgia we should be watching?
Daniel Kansas is a race we're watching. Democrat Hamilton and Republican Marshall are within point four points of each other across eleven polls, Maya. No clear leader there yet.
Maya Georgia moving, Kansas within one point, and the national math still favoring Democrats for Senate control. A lot on this wall tonight.
Maya That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
