Ohio Moves, Kansas in Focus

Transcript
Maya Welcome back to Crosstab Live. Since the last live update, the biggest move is in Ohio, where a new NY Times/Siena poll shows real movement in the Governor's race.
Daniel That's right, Maya. NY Times/Siena has Democrat Acton at 49 percent and Ramaswamy at 45 percent, a 4 point edge for Acton in this one poll.
Maya How does that line up with the broader numbers in the race?
Daniel The crosstab average now has Acton ahead by 4.2 points. So this new poll fits right in with where the race has been trending.
Maya Let's zoom out to the full Senate picture. Daniel, what does the map look like tonight?
Daniel The map is largely holding steady from our last update. No lead changes to report across the competitive seats.
Maya And in terms of overall control of the Senate, where do things stand?
Daniel Right now Democrats have a 68 percent chance of winning control, Republicans a 32 percent chance. Our most likely outcome is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya Let's check the national numbers too, approval and the generic ballot.
Daniel Trump's approval sits at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats lead 51 to 42 percent.
Maya Before we go, Daniel, there's a race we're watching in Kansas that hasn't come up yet today.
Daniel Yes, Kansas Senate, Republican Marshall against Democrat Hamilton. Across 11 polls, the margin sits at just 0.4 points, within 1 point. No leader has pulled clear there yet.
Maya We'll keep watching that one closely. That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
