Holding Steady

Transcript
Maya Good evening, I'm Maya at the Crosstab Live desk. Since the last live update, the national picture hasn't moved much, approval and the generic ballot numbers are holding steady, so let's start there.
Daniel That's right, Maya. President Trump's approval sits at 38.4 percent, disapproval at 60.1 percent. On the generic ballot, Democrats are at 51 percent, Republicans at 42 percent, the same spread as our last check.
Maya With numbers like that, let's look at Senate control. Daniel, where does that leave the seat math tonight?
Daniel Democrats have a 68 percent chance of winning control, Republicans sit at 32 percent. Our most likely outcome right now is 52 Democratic seats.
Maya Let's pull up the full map and see how that breaks down state by state.
Daniel The map itself hasn't shifted since the last update, no races have changed hands and we have no new leads to report tonight.
Maya One race we haven't covered yet today: Kansas. Daniel, what's happening there?
Daniel Kansas is a race we're watching. Democrat Hamilton leads Republican Marshall by 0.4 points, within 1 point, across 11 polls.
Maya That's a notably small margin for this kind of race.
Daniel It is. With 31 days until the election, Democrat Hamilton holds that narrow edge over Republican Marshall, and we'll keep tracking every new poll that comes in.
Maya That's Crosstab Live. We'll be back when the numbers move.
